Who we are….
Concordia Language Villages is a premiere language and culture immersion program in the United States. For fifty years, Concordia Language Villages has been teaching language and culture in global contexts for fifty years. Experience-based learning underlies the methodologies of all of the programs, which range from pre-K programs through adult programs. Introducing language in cultural contexts is foundational to our teaching methodologies. Instruction methods include using authentic games and movement, singing, culturally relevant art projects, drama and simulations. We believe that having fun while learning a language is a must!

Program Description…
The theme for the winter/spring programs is Games Galore! Students come together to play games – in Spanish! After a long day of school, Spanish Club is a fun blend of a relaxed atmosphere combined with active play. Using Concordia Language Villages language and culture immersion strategies, students utilize Spanish while engaging in games played by their peers in Spanish speaking countries. Friends might, for example, compete in Lotería, or try to tag opponents in Color, Colorcito. The group will also take part in a service project as they design a game resource for an elementary school class. (Middle school program geared toward graduates of elementary immersion schools. Elementary school programs geared toward new language learners.)

Compensation...
$30/class. (Preparation time is included in the per-class compensation.)

Who are we looking for…
Someone who is energetic and can engage students in games, songs and activities, and is creative with ideas for program content. Someone who wants to have fun with children!
