Part-time (.67 FTE) Chinese World Language teaching position at the secondary level, grades 8-12 beginning the 2012-2013 school year.  Minnesota K-12 Chinese World Language teaching license or the ability to obtain a waiver license; oral and written fluency in Mandarin Chinese; experience teaching U.S. students preferably at the secondary level; flexibility and willingness to help design and lead a new Chinese program; demonstrated classroom management skills and ability to engage secondary students in learning Chinese for the first time in an enjoyable class.  This position requires the teacher to have the ability to engage secondary students in beginning level Chinese instruction using technology, innovative curriculum and hands-on instruction. Ideal candidate will be bilingual and bi-literate in both Mandarin Chinese and English and have some experience with students at the secondary level. Teacher with elementary immersion experience are also encouraged to apply.
