Description:  Chinese Immersion elementary classroom teaching assignment.

Qualifications:  Minnesota elementary teaching licensure K-6 or 1-6, licensure via portfolio, or other method of state recognized licensure path or MN/China Teacher Exchange participation required.  Preparation and commitment to working effectively with diverse communities of learners; skill in providing for the individual learning needs of students; ability to create positive, inclusive learning environment; skill in using positive, constructive disciplinary approaches; ability to organize and plan for student learning; familiarity with current teaching/ learning theories; skill in establishing and maintaining positive relationships with diverse groups of students parents, and colleagues; diversity of interests and experiences.  Qualifications for and willingness to work with extracurricular activities.  Prefer experience working with elementary students.

Additional requirements:
Standard English language proficiency in speaking and writing required.  Standard Mandarin Chinese proficiency in speaking and writing required.  Must know Pinyin system.  Instructional experience teaching Mandarin Chinese

Immersion teaching experience preferred, not required.

Salary:  HEA Schedule
