The following secondary position will be available in the Eden Prairie School District for the 2012-2013  school year: 
  
  
Central Middle School                                   

.8 World Language-Spanish  

7th and 8th Grade students, 4 classes taught each day            
Start Date: 8/27/2012  
                                                                                                
  
Minnesota teaching license in Spanish required

Ability to meet the district's standards for Spanish language proficiency - both written and oral

 

Qualifications:

  • Prior immersion classroom teaching experience preferred
  • Understanding of effective teaching and learning strategies for immersion learners
  • Demonstrate effective experience in collaboration and problem solving skills
  • Experience with curriculum and assessment design, implementation, and evaluation
  • Understanding the role of parent involvement in an immersion context and willingness to work innovatively with parents
  • Capacity to use technology as both a language and cultural instructional tool
