    Middle School Spanish Language Teacher
    City of Lakes Waldorf School is now accepting applications for a Middle School Spanish teacher for the current year. The teacher will be responsible for providing ten class periods of instruction to students in grades six, seven and eight in the Spanish language. The teacher will also be responsible for creating opportunities for our students to interact with Spanish speaking people within our neighborhood and community. The ideal applicant will be an experienced language teacher (grades 6 -8) who demonstrates fluency and knowledge of Spanish cultural traditions and has completed a bachelor’s degree as well as Waldorf training. A love of teaching and a knowledge of /or interest in Waldorf education is required. The middle grades Spanish position is a part time hourly position.

    Our School and Community: City of Lakes Waldorf School is an accredited, full member school of the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America. We offer a pre-school to Grade 8 education for 220 students, including Spanish, Mandarin, movement and games, handwork, woodwork, circus and music (recorder, strings and chorus) and after school sports programs. Our parent/child program introduces young families to Waldorf education.

    Concordia Language Villages language and culture after-school immersion elementary and middle school programs

    Concordia Language Villages is accepting applications for part-time Spanish teachers in St. Louis Park. In partnership with St. Louis Park Community Education, we will be offering after-school Language and Culture Clubs for elementary and middle school students at local schools. (3:55-4:55pm) Applicants may apply for individual days/locations, or for all four classes. Priority is given to those who apply for all four classes. Experience working with children required.

    Classes start in January!

    Who we are….
    Concordia Language Villages is a premiere language and culture immersion program in the United States. For fifty years, Concordia Language Villages has been teaching language and culture in global contexts for fifty years. Experience-based learning underlies the methodologies of all of the programs, which range from pre-K programs through adult programs. Introducing language in cultural contexts is foundational to our teaching methodologies. Instruction methods include using authentic games and movement, singing, culturally relevant art projects, drama and simulations. We believe that having fun while learning a language is a must!

    Program Description…
    The theme for the winter/spring programs is Games Galore! Students come together to play games – in Spanish! After a long day of school, Spanish Club is a fun blend of a relaxed atmosphere combined with active play. Using Concordia Language Villages language and culture immersion strategies, students utilize Spanish while engaging in games played by their peers in Spanish speaking countries. Friends might, for example, compete in Lotería, or try to tag opponents in Color, Colorcito. The group will also take part in a service project as they design a game resource for an elementary school class. (Middle school program geared toward graduates of elementary immersion schools. Elementary school programs geared toward new language learners.)

    $30/class. (Preparation time is included in the per-class compensation.)

    Who are we looking for…
    Someone who is energetic and can engage students in games, songs and activities, and is creative with ideas for program content. Someone who wants to have fun with children!

    A .6 FTE Spanish position will be posted soon at Crosswinds Arts & Science School to begin immediately. Crosswinds is a grades 6-10 magnet-style school with IB programming. It is on a year-round schedule with extended breaks between quarters. One of two integration schools of EMID, East Metro Integration District, it welcomes an eclectic mix of students from St. Paul Schools and the surrounding suburban member districts.

    This teacher will teach two every-day classes to Grades 9 (approx. level 1.5) and 10 (approx. level 2.5) and an A/B day class to one group of Grade 8 and another of Grade 9. It is not a long-term sub position. Contract hours are 11:45 am - 4:15 pm.

    Spanish Teacher-Robbinsdale Cooper High School - New Hope, MN

    Full time Spanish Teacher long term sub needed from early-March (approximately March 8th) to mid-May (approximately May 17th). The position involves teaching multiple levels of Spanish from beginner to advanced while the classroom teacher is on maternity leave. Knowledge of the International Baccalaureate Program at both the MYP (Middle Years Program) and DP (Diploma Program) levels is preferred. Applicants must hold a valid MN teaching license for teaching Spanish at the secondary level.
