ISE Language Matters Award

Intercultural Student Experiences (ISE) is pleased to make available to MCTLC a special recognition award for its membership. The ISE Language Matters Award is to be granted to a high school teacher through a nomination and selection process determined by MCTLC.

AWARD:  The ISE Language Matters Award shall consist of a framed award certificate and a $250 grant. ISE will make the award presentation in person at the MCTLC Fall Conference ELIGIBILITY: The applicant selected for this award shall be a high school world language teacher who has achieved outstanding success in getting his / her students to speak the target language through exemplary motivation and creative methods; in addition, the winner shall be a teacher who has provided authentic immersion experiences outside the classroom for students to apply their speaking skills.  No prior association or experience with ISE is required of the nominee.

SELECTION PROCESS: Applicants submit the MCTLC Intercultural Student Experiences" Language Matters" Teacher Award Application Form with all its listed requirements by June 15. The Application form can be downloaded below.  A teacher may self-nominate or be nominated by a colleague.
