World Language Promotional Tool Kit

This World Language Promotional Tool Kit is designed as a resource for language teachers to help support and promote world language programs in their schools. It was initiated by a group of world language professionals who gathered together at the Minnesota New Visions workshop in July 2002 as part of process to identify critical issues within the field and to work together to address those issues.

The World Language Promotional Tool Kit is a work in progress. Feel free to help us add your ideas to this "tool kit" and join the work of the Minnesota New Visions group. Included in the Tool Kit to date are the following resources:

Ideas for Promotion of World Languages
This part of the Tool Kit lists lots of great ideas for promoting and supporting the study of world languages in your school, district, and community.

Resources and Background Information for Promoting Language Learning
This section of the New Visions website includes links and information about a variety of resources including: brochures and videos that promote language learning; articles and reports that give background information and overviews on language learning; databases of information on language learning; advocacy resources; and other resources for language teachers.
