What is Service-Learning?

Service Learning is a learning strategy that integrates meaningful service to the community into the school curriculum. This experiential method gets students out of the classroom and into the school community and the community at large, where they learn to use their academic knowledge to address real needs.

Why try Service Learning?

The classroom is not the only venue in which to learn another language or about other cultures. Some of the advantages to incorporating a Service-Learning experience into your curriculum at any level are:
